Mini Fire Sword-Resin Cast01

My first "EVER" Cast.
The colors orange and yellow were meant to be blended more evenly, from orange and eventually into yellow near the tip, (to look like lava) ...didn't work so well......
I'm painting details like the dry lava and leaving the semi transparent resin visible in certain areas, like lava cracks etc, but anyway,

The cast came out OK despite the minor issues, details came out well, It has some minor imperfections, bubbles here and there, and it came out fatter than the master for some reason, I haven't figured out why as yet.

Thankfully these sculptures are meant to be organic and random in shape, so imperfections in the casting process aren't too visible.



Anyway, was tricky to say the least, making molds is a hard business.

Silicone mold: Pinkysil.
Resin: Easy Cast.
